The most effective content creators in the world are not producing more ideas. They are extracting more value from every idea they already have.
Here is exactly how to turn one piece of content into fifteen or more touchpoints across every platform you care about.
Start with a long-form anchor
The foundation of the repurposing process is one substantial piece of long-form content. A podcast episode. A recorded presentation. A structured video walkthrough. An interview with a client or expert.
This anchor content contains everything you need. Your job is to systematically extract it.
Video clips: five to eight touchpoints
Using Opus Clip or a similar AI clipping tool, extract the five to eight most compelling moments from your long-form recording. Each becomes a standalone short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
Hook at the start. Captions on. Clear, single point per clip. Each one should work as a standalone piece of content — no context from the longer video required.
LinkedIn posts: three to four touchpoints
Take your recording transcript and identify the three to four most interesting arguments, observations, or frameworks within it. Each becomes a LinkedIn post.
Use the hook, story, and CTA structure. Write conversationally. Keep it to 1,250–3,000 characters for optimal performance.
A long-form article: one touchpoint
One full blog article — 800 to 1,500 words — covering the main argument of your anchor content in depth. This lives on your website, helps your SEO, and gives you a piece of content to reference in future social posts.
A carousel: one to two touchpoints
Take the most framework-like content from your recording — a step-by-step process, a data breakdown, a comparison — and turn it into a LinkedIn or Instagram carousel. Five to ten slides, educational structure, strong first slide as a hook.
A newsletter edition: one touchpoint
Summarise the key insight from your recording for your email list or Substack subscribers. This is a different audience from your social media followers — and it gets your content in front of them without any algorithm between you and the reader.
Quote graphics: two to three touchpoints
Pull two to three of the most quotable lines from your recording. Turn each into a graphic in Canva. These work as standalone Instagram posts, LinkedIn visuals, and Story content.
Every time you record something, you are not producing one piece of content. You are producing a library.
